The Roundhouse, Roundhouse Road, Pride Park, Derby DE24 8JE
The Spring Market will be held at the historic Roundhouse on Pride Park in Derby. The venue is a stunning Grade II* listed building full of railway history.
2016 will be the 7th year I have chosen to use The Roundhouse as the venue for my handpicked food and gift markets. The venue offers great access via road, rail and foot path from Derby City Centre. Derby Train Station could not be closer and offers a very short walk across the road to the main entrance of the event. The venue offers 3 large parking areas for the event, but we do recommend travelling by train as the car parks can become busy.
There is a cash machine located within The Roundhouse. Many exhibitors also accept card payments.
The venue offers a large number of car parking spaces. Parking at The Roundhouse is charged at £2 per car. Skip the queues and travel to the event by train. Derby Train Station couldn’t be closer to the venue. Parking is run independently to the event and is not managed by Fabulous Places.
The Roundhouse is easily accessible for all visitors. Listed buildings can often pose difficulties for those with limited mobility or other disabilities. When The Roundhouse at Derby was refurbished and restored to its former glory, one of the key requirements was that the design scheme should create an environment that is easily accessible by everyone. This has certainly been achieved. Level thresholds, lift access to all rooms and floors, and a colour and signage scheme that provides easy navigation for the partially and non-sighted have all been incorporated.
